Editorial

Abstract

This time we present volume 14 issue 2, corresponding to the year 2021. This issue is significant, since it coincides with the beginning of a cycle of activities that will be developed within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Museum of Anthropology and of the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Institute of Anthropology of Córdoba. The Museum had its origin as one of the parts that made up the Institute of Archaeology, Linguistics and Folklore of the National University of Córdoba. A more detailed history of the evolution of this institution can be found in the editorial of the first issue of the Revista del Museo de Antropología, published in 2008 (https://doi.org/10.31048/1852.4826.v1.n0.5389). Since that year, the Revista del Museo de Antropología has witnessed and reported on many activities and events that strengthened the implementation of anthropologies located in Córdoba. Particularly the implementation of the career of the Doctorate in Anthropological Sciences, in 2009, and the degree in Anthropology at the Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades, in 2010. On the other hand, in 2011 it was created by joint resolution of CONICET and the National University of Córdoba, the Institute of Anthropology of Córdoba. However, it is in 2012, with the appointment of its first director, which this institute formally begins to function. Then, volume 14 becomes the witness of the process of celebrating the 80 years of the mother institution and the first ten years of the current Institute of Anthropology of Córdoba to be celebrated in the year 2022.

About this issue content, here we present eighteen contributions. Some of them original, others correspond to comments, translations and a bibliographic review. In this issue we find represented works from the Archaeology, Museology and Social Anthropology sections.
