LA PARTICIÓN DE PALESTINA Y LA CREACIÓN DEL ESTADO DE ISRAEL EN LA PRENSA GRÁFICA DE CÓRDOBA EN 1948: LOS CASOS DE LA VOZ DEL INTERIOR Y LOS PRINCIPIOS

Resumen

The year 1948 is a key year in the Palestinian problem because it marks
a historical turning point in a conflict which still exists today. The
conflict represents one of the largest events in the history of the 20th
century and has lasting repercussions, not only in the Middle East,
but also in the rest of the world. Accordingly, these events that seem
far away from us are in reality made closer by the presence of large
Arab and Jewish communities in Córdoba. Within this framework we
are interested in looking at how the events of 1948 left their mark in
Córdoba, for which we searched the two main newspapers of the time:
La Voz del Interior and Los Principios. Keeping in mind that mass
media was a public outlet where people could channel their frustrations
with society, it is important to separate the biases of the two periodicals
so as to reveal the actual representation of the events that created the
tensions that occurred in Palestine, an area of vital importance to the
main three monotheistic religions of the planet: Islam, Christianity,
and Judaism.
