About the Journal
GLALIA is an international electronic journal that accepts contributions in the area of lichenology, of general interest to Latin America. Manuscripts must be original and submitted in Spanish or Portuguese (with additional Abstract in English) or completely in English. There is no limit on the number of pages published, although ten pages are suggested as a minimum. The publication of taxonomic keys, checklists and thesis works is especially encouraged. Since January 2012, formal descriptions of new taxa and other nomenclatural developments are accepted. Starting in 2024, the magazine will be published in the OJS system and is part of the Journal Portal of the National University of Córdoba. Since 2024 GLALIA adopts the continuous publication system, the accepted works that completed the editorial process will be published in Online Version (Online first), publishing an annual issue in December with the set of articles published online during each year.
GLALIA is a diamond open access journal (free for both readers and authors).
GLALIA accepts articles, short notes and reviews. Contributions must be original, not previously published, in the same or another language and not be under consideration in another journal. Submission implies that its publication has been approved by all co-authors. The manuscript must be accompanied by a LETTER TO THE EDITOR, expressing the original contribution of the work to lichenology. This letter suggests providing names of at least three possible reviewers of the submitted manuscript, indicating their email address.
Manuscripts must be sent through the OJS system after registration in the system.
