Abstract

A curricular innovation in the teaching of Biology carried out at a Lower Secondary School (CBU) in Río Cuarto, Córdoba is presented in this work. In this innovation, the conceptual contents are considered to be the mail axis, around which the procedures and attitudes are worked in an integrated way. The study of Biology is initiated from a central unit: the organism. It begins with the general characteristics of the organisms; it goes on with biodiversity, and essential notions of functioning for life, and kinship and ecological relationships. Said contents are related to notions of health and care of the environmental necessary to improve citizens´ life quality. Learning strategies and learning assessment as well as how this proposal will be evaluated are presented and stated in this work.
