Abstract

In this document, we bring forward the Global Citizens Dialogue on the Future of the Internet as a novelty practice of participation and as a mechanism of diffusion and knowledge of the global agenda's topics related to Internet Governance. The main features that we explain in this report are previous planning to include the largest possible number of voices during the deliberation process taking into consideration the diversity of gender and age of the participants; the execution of the necessary activities during the discussion, focused mainly on knowing the participants' opinions in several topics like Internet trust and data privacy; and the summary of information using the following methods; focal groups, open and closed surveys, and the field documentation. Finally, when we analyse the obtained results we could make a reflection on the event, which allowed us to conclude that the proposal of citizens' participation could be used in other topics of the national agenda to foster a policy-making process more inclusive and transparent.
