Abstract

Presence of Mimosa regnellii (Mimosoideae, Leguminosae) in Argentina. In the present work, the presence of Mimosa regnellii is formally confirmed and M. regnellii var. exuta is reported for the first time in the Argentine Flora. This species and its variety occur in the eastern extreme of the Misiones province, near the Brazilian border. Taxonomic, geographic and ecological observations are included. The number of taxa of Mimosa in the Argentine Flora increases to 55 species and 25 varieties with these new reports.
