Abstract

Cryphaea consimilis (Cryphaeaceae, Bryophyta), new record for Argentina. Cryphaea consimilis Mont. (Cryphaeaceae, Bryophyta) is recordered for the first time for Argentina, extending its distribution within the subantarctic forests. A brief description, discussion, distribution map and illustration of the species are provided. A lectotype for this species is here designated.
