First record of the genus Actinostachys (Schizaeaceae) for Argentina. The fern Actinostachys pennula (Schizaeaceae) is cited for the first time from Argentina, on the basis of material recently collected in the northeast of Misiones province. It is provided a description of the species, ecological observations, and illustrations of sporophyte and spores.
