About an observation of multiple extragenital syphilitic chancres (two on the lower lip and one on the right shoulder).

In a previous publication, I had the opportunity to recall briefly the curious circumstances that favored the contamination of syphilis in an indigent family, taken from a syphilitic chancre of peri-anal localization in a passive pedophile child, to his own mother, in whom appeared after a month of infection in her son, a syphilitic chancre of the right ear lobe; From the information gathered on that occasion about the possible form of contamination in the mother, it could only be deduced that it was due to the absolute lack of precautions on the part of the sick son, who, without any dressing to protect the lesion, sowed his treponemes in the bedclothes used by both of them. I recalled on that occasion that extragenital syphilitic chancres are a rarity in our environment and that is why I thought it would be of interest to present to you this patient who had two papulo-erosive syphilitic chancres of the lower lip and an ulcerative chancre of the right shoulder region, acquired simultaneously upon his admission to the service on October 4th of the current year.
