El rol estabilizador de la política fiscal en Argentina: 1964-2007

Se evalúa el desempeño de la política fiscal como herramienta de estabilización, para lo cual se emplea una estimación del déficit cíclico y estructural. A continuación se definen los ciclos económicos así como la manera en que pueden ser medidos. Luego se determinan los ciclos correspondientes al período 1964-2007 para Argentina, así como el déficit estructural y cíclico siguiendo la metodología sugerida por la OCDE. Los resultados muestran que en gran medida, la política fiscal llevada a cabo por el Estado poco tiene que ver con la atenuación de las fluctuaciones del PIB.Downloads
