The following paper seeks to address the issue of oral sexual harassment in the streets, as a means of identity construction. Proxy data has been used, recovered from institutional entities (MuMaLa 2023, Instituto de Género y Promoción de la Igualdad 2016, INJUV 2015) as well as from several articles (Arancibia Garrido J. et al. 2015; Varela Lerida S. et al. 2019; Cesar A. B., Fares A. S. 2016. This paper will describe oral sexual harassment in the streets, highlighting the role played by public space, the relationship between the actors involved, and its effects. Oral sexual harassment in the streets can be defined as a kind of hate speech that generates subordinate and subordinating identities, as it involves the re-production of gender-structured power relationships.
