HOW TO BE A WOMAN-ANATOMIST IN UKRAINE

Anatomy is a fundamental discipline that is the basis for all clinical specialties. The lecturer must possess many surgical skills to teach students. The aim of the study is to analyze the gender equality in medical education in Ukraine. All data were obtained from open sources. Results. Women have a potential to get medical education and to teach students at medical universities, also to do research work. Many women run the departments of Anatomy/Clinical Anatomy in Ukraine, but they are underrepresented among university Rectors, Academics and Ministers. Conclusions. Nevertheless women can work hard, can perform creative, technical and organizational work with equal quality, they still have limited opportunities to get highest administrative positions.
