Realizações da iniciativa ARIADNE para intercâmbio de dados e pesquisa arqueológica

Resumo

O objetivo geral da iniciativa ARIADNE é ajudar as comunidades de pesquisa arqueológica e de gerenciamento de dados na Europa e em outros países a compartilhar e usar com mais eficiência os dados dispersos em muitas instituições e projetos. A iniciativa desenvolveu serviços de infraestrutura de pesquisa que permitem a agregação, a integração, a pesquisa e a visualização de registros de dados que descrevem e vinculam coleções de dados e itens disponíveis nos repositórios e bancos de dados dos provedores. Financiados pela vertente de Infraestruturas de Pesquisa do Programa-Quadro de Pesquisa e Inovação da União Europeia, os projetos ARIADNE implementaram e aprimoraram a Infraestrutura de Pesquisa ARIADNE e mobilizaram uma comunidade crescente de instituições e projetos colaborativos interessados em compartilhar dados por meio da infraestrutura eletrônica. No projeto ARIADNEplus, quase 4 milhões de registros de dados foram integrados ao Portal ARIADNE. Após uma breve introdução à iniciativa ARIADNE, este documento apresenta algumas realizações da iniciativa com o projeto ARIADNEplus. Ele aborda o alcance e o suporte da comunidade ARIADNE, as atividades de promoção de dados FAIR em arqueologia e a padronização de conjuntos de dados com base no CIDOC CRM e nos vocabulários de domínio Getty AAT e PeriodO.
