Abstract

During the last decade in Argentina it has been possible to locate the blog format as a trigger for evidence, arguments and analysis on authors and readers in the national literary field. The critical impact led to a revision of some practices, regarding both the production of works as well as the functions of author and reader, and its ways of interaction in a particular historical moment. The goal that we propose from the development and use of the blog by Argentine writers is trying to understand how the format has been inserted in the literary field. On another level, what changes or continuities have marked its appearance regarding conventional formats of print culture, and the production of fiction in emerging generations of authors. The object of analysis is the work of established authors, or in the process of consecration, that began to manage personal spaces and carry out regular maintenance of their sites on the web. We wonder why a writer with a work edited chooses to administrate a virtual space? The answer to this question requires addressing many issues on the field. In this paper we address one of such issues, concentrated in the reflections about the manners in which they have admitted the writings of the self, the intimate writings and the experimental or biographical narratives.
