Premature mortality is the most severe medical consequence of any illness. Traditionally, cardiovascular diseases and neoplastic diseases have been considered the fatal conditions, while rheumatic diseases have been considered non-fatal for both the medical community and patients. However, most rheumatic diseases have a natural history of premature mortality.Downloads
