Abstract

Research on the history of psychology in Chile, and in many other Latin American countries, has developed rapidly in recent years. An expression of this is the copious literature that since the first years of the new century has been published on the subject in the southern country (Laborda & Quezada, 2010; Luco, 2010; Rodriguez & Villegas, 2007; Salas & Lizama, 2013; Villegas & Rodríguez, 2005; Winkler, 2007). In this context, the publication Raíces de la Psicología Científica en Chile (Salas, 2015) is reviewed and commented on, as part of its line of work in the history of psychology, the results of which are reflected in numerous articles on the subject and in books.
