10 years of working with archives and private collections in the National Library (Argentina)

Since more than 10 years in the National Library it takes place an intensive work with archives and private collections, private funds that the institution have received and continues to receive, fundamentally as donation. The primary objective of this presentation is to show the valuable documentary heritage that the National Library has today. In this paper you can also see other lines of work: the acquisition, organization and description of the materials, the tasks of conservation and digitization, dissemination and attention to user queries. The things that done and the challenges that open.
