Abstract

The article proposes an analysis of the Anglo-Argentinean dispute over the Falkland Islands, at the stage of presentation to the United Nations, in the ‘60s. From a theoretical perspective considers the triadic model elaborated by Christopher Mitchell. Selects that historical stage given that it is assumed that is where are the factors that lead the negotiations to a deadlock since the question arises in zerosum terms: self- determination / sovereignty.
