Conceptos para el desarrollo de cuidados de enfermería en salud mental perinatal: una revisión narrativa

Resumen

En la actualidad los problemas de salud mental son una de las principales causas de padecimiento en el período perinatal. Objetivo: realizar una revisión narrativa de las publicaciones con relación a la salud mental perinatal y la participación de enfermería en su cuidado. Metodología: se realizó una búsqueda no exhaustiva en las bases de datos de PubMed, ScienceDirect, SCIELO, y Lilacs (BVS). Resultados: se seleccionaron 80 artículos, de los cuales 37 corresponden a revisiones sistemáticas o metaanálisis, 34 investigaciones cuantitativas y 9 investigaciones cualitativas. También se tomaron como referencia 3 publicaciones de literatura gris. Se clasificaron los resultados en: determinantes sociales de la salud, epidemiología de los problemas de salud mental perinatal, la salud mental de las parejas, las barreras en el cuidado y la importancia de la participación de enfermería. Conclusión: enfermería se sitúa en un lugar clave para mejorar significativamente el bienestar psíquico de las mujeres gestantes y puérperas, y sus familias y disminuir las barreras en el cuidado para reducir la brecha de tratamiento.
