Abstract

The following text was generously sent to us by Professor Michel Chion as an appendix of the former. Equally unpublished in Spanish, it serves as a reference to the above. In this case, the article develops key elements to understand this author´s proposal, centering on the notion of “texture”.

    Michel Chion es un reconocido teórico del cine, específicamente en lo relacionado a la interacciónentre imagen y sonido. Se ha desempeñado como profesor en varias instituciones en Francia y en laactualidad ocupa el cargo de Profesor Asociado en la Universidad de París III, Soborne Nouvelle. Haescrito numerosos libros y ensayos sobre cine, entre ellos, La audiovisión: introducción a un análisisconjunto de la imagen y el sonido, publicado originalmente en 1990 y considerado como un textofundamental para comprender las relaciones entre sonido e imagen en los medios audiovisuales.
