This article intends to make a contribution to the teaching staff about the benefits of incorporating and using the information and communication technologies (ICT) into the current educational proposals. For this purpose, the implementation of ICTs in several academic institutions is analyzed from the teaching point of view. Furthermore, it presents some considerations on the need to think that the teaching processes in a virtual community allow the students to go beyond the boundaries of the “traditional classroom” integrating their knowledge to the constantly changing social reality.Downloads
