La Asamblea. Un análisis antropológico sobre los procesos de trabajo en salud colectiva en barrio Los Boulevares de Córdoba
Keywords:
assembly, self management, community health, social organizationAbstract
This article aims to analyze, from an ethnographic perspective, the work processes and social relations that developed in a health space called Asamblea Popular Los Boulevares (APLB), in the field of collective health, using also as a methodological tool the participant-observation technique. This medical office center operated combining community health and political activity between 2002 and 2020 in Los Boulevares neighborhood in the city of Córdoba.
This work shows the APLB as a micro-universe, and shows the impact of the structural neglect by the State towards community health spaces and the enormous difficulty they face in order to exist, taking into account that these spaces have a great value in social and community terms.
It also registers these extremely unprotected social sectors, including both vulnerable patients with difficulties in accessing health care, as well as highly qualified professionals who must resort to informal forms of work, as a way of making ends meet, in order to somehow counteract the precarious labor contracting conditions of the hegemonic health care centers.
