Systematization of innovative experience in the university Library

The experience we offer was carried out in the Academic Library of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences of a public university in Lima, from 2010 to 2013, having as its axis the volunteering of students for the development of the library`s website. The Objective it is basically transmitting, sharing and disseminating an innovative work experience in the university library, which will be important as motivation, development or analogy for subsequent generations of librarians. The methodology is descriptive, qualitative and retrospective, with the logic of systematizing experiences. The Results Innovative digital information service on the website with volunteers from students, alumni and library staff. About forty students participated in the experience. Conclusions given the needs and few resources, it was decided to modernize the information services through a web page. To build the website of the Library of Mathematical Sciences, a volunteer program was organized with students and alumni of the faculty. The Library changed its conservative image and became a modern space for the dissemination of information. The interrelation of the actors in the development of the website with volunteering was democratic and broad, among students, graduates and library staff
