Agroclimatic charts of "cold hours" in the mountainous region of the province of Córdoba (Argentina)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The average available chilling hours during the dormancy period of cryophilic fruit trees for the hilly region of the Córdoba province (Argentina) with altitudes above 500 meters was estimated using an original method for agroclimatic analysis. As a result, the geographical distribution of this important biometeorological requirement is shown in two agroclimatic charts: for the total and for the effective chilling hours. These effective chilling hours are estimated considering the possible reversing effect of high temperatures during the dormancy period. The "effective chilling hours" in the area above the 500 m vary between 500 and 1700 hours.
