Tylenchulus semipenetrans Cobb, 1913 (Nemata: Tylenchida) and its association with Citrus aurantium L. and Citrus reshni Hort. ex Tan
Main Article Content
Abstract
Resistance to the phytophagous semi-endoparasitic nematode Tylenchulus semipenetrans was evaluated by analyzing the histological modifications induced in two citrus rootstocks grown in the province of Tucumán (Argentina). The foot of C. reshni was shown to be the least susceptible. Moreover, the histological alterations generated by the nematode appear surrounded by a suberized layer that would isolate the affected area from the rest of the attacked root tissues.
