Abstract

In onion's (Allium cepa L. c.v. Valenciana) crop at the end of the vegetative cycle, situated at the Departament Cruz del Eje (Córdoba), we observed plants with apical clorotic spots that evolved to necrotic, finally covering all the affected leave. Isolation and pathogenicity test demostrated that Stemphylium botryosum Wall. was the causal agent. Also the sexual stage; Pleospora herbarum Pers. was observed.
