Morphological abnormalities in garlic (Allium sativum L.) bulbification

Abstract

Morphological abnormalities found in bulbs and bulblets (cloves) of 13 cultivars of garlic ( Allium sativum L.) are described and schematized for the first time. In addition, in an attempt to unify the terminology used by different authors, some of them already cited in the literature are analyzed in detail. A classification of the anomalies studied is proposed according to the organ affected.
