The presentation of this symposium was held within the framework of the First Argentine Congress of Lithic Studies in Archeology (1st CAELA). It was carried out in the province of Córdoba (Argentina) between September 19 and 22, 2018 and had the support of different academic institutions; among which are: Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities-National University of Córdoba, CONICET, Institute of Anthropology of Córdoba (IDACOR-CONICET / UNC), Museum of Anthropology (FFyH-UNC), Laboratory of macro and microscopic analysis of lithic materials (LAMMAL CONICET) and the Digital Archeology Program (IDACOR- Museum of Anthropology, UNC), among others.
