Abstract

Under the format of an academic interview, this work aims to reflect on the state of the art of Senegalese migration studies in Argentina. Through the established dialogue, the authors intend to delve into the particularities of their respective case studies, in light of the general discussions that organize the academic debate on this contemporary migratory process. The document inquieres into the theoretical-methodological aspects developed by the main investigations in the country. At the same time, it is illustrated by the problematization of empirical examples that the authors have observed in their respective fieldwork.

The main contribution of this work is to raise, in the first place, which are the concludent and the emergent debates on the issue; and secondly, to move forward into studies that contrast this study phenomena, contextual and societally located in different cities of the national territory.
