Considering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Paraguay proposes goals to be achieved by 2030. The purpose is to build a diversified and competitive economy, based both on the sustainable use of Paraguay's natural wealth and on growing incorporation of knowledge through the development of human capital and the progressive use of state-of-the-art technologies. La Visión Paraguay 2030 guides the actions of the Government in the short, medium and long term. On this basis, the PND 2030 provides a structure of objectives based on the intersection of three strategic pillars and four transversal lines around which the policies and government actions are articulated. The participation of the academy is essential for the achievement of the objectives that the government brings, through its protagonist role in teaching, research and university extension. The Multidisciplinary Center for Technological Research (CEMIT) is a Research and Service Center dependent on the Directorate General for Scientific and Technological Research of the UNA. For the development of research and innovations, CEMIT has concentrated its efforts on strategic alliances with both the academic sector and the public and private sectors. In this sense, the strategy of linking CEMIT with the private sector has led it to develop as a technological and research center and to be able to position itself as a consolidated center.
