Fernanda Beigel es socióloga y Doctora en Ciencias Sociales y Políticas por la Universidad de Cuyo, Argentina. Investigadora principal del Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones (Conicet), Argentina. Directora del Centro sobre Investigación de Circulación del Conocimiento (CECIC) en la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCuyo). Profesora Titular en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Políticas en la UNCuyo. Presidió el Comité Asesor de la UNESCO para la Ciencia Abierta. Es asesora experta en la Iniciativa FOLEC-CLACSO y coordina el Comité de Ciencia Abierta y Ciencia Ciudadana del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología (MinCyT), Argentina.
