Declaración de la CRES+5
Abstract
Quienes participamos en la Conferencia de seguimiento a la III Conferencia Regional de Educación Superior de
América Latina y el Caribe, en lo sucesivo CRES+5, representantes de gobiernos y otros organismos públicos, e
instituciones de educación superior, redes, asociaciones, sindicatos, organismos multilaterales, pueblos
indígenas y afrodescendientes, estudiantes y personal académico y técnico-administrativo y científicos de
América Latina y el Caribe, reunidos en la ciudad de Brasilia del 13 al 15 de marzo de 2024, celebramos la
relevancia y pertinencia de la convocatoria a esta reunión de medio plazo, ubicada estratégicamente entre la
CRES-2018 y su continuación en el 2028. Esta iniciativa ha constituido una valiosa oportunidad para evaluar y
reafirmar los principios y líneas de acción que guían la transformación de la educación en general, y de la
educación superior en particular, en América Latina y el Caribe.
