The following article discusses the short story "Aura" (1994) by the Peruvian writer Rocío Silva-Santisteban. This text is important because it develops a subversive and counter-hegemonic proposal: break up / dismantle the power system that subordinates women in favour of men. Now, if it is true, it is also that this proposal is still somewhat troubled, because the Patriarchate is identified as the main problem that women must overcome if they want to secure their release. Despite this, "Aura" is a valuable contribution to the fight for the vindication of the female subject.Downloads
