Abstract

In the book Somos Belén, the writer Ana Correa accompanies Belén to tell her story through the  construction of a polyphonic chronicle that mixes voices,  times, places, and affections. The book delves into the feminist relational process in which “Belén” ceased to be a given name to become an emblem of the collective struggle that brokered another course for this situation of injustice of a poor and young woman. Its reading refers us to a doubly reparatory process on the experiences of abortions that feminisms have been tracing for years, within the  framework of the disputes of meanings that led to the  legalization of voluntary abortion in Argentina at the end of 2020.
