The current Maternity and Neonatology University Hospital was officially inaugurated on February 27, 1932, during the Rectorate of Eng. Eduardo Deheza, the Dean's Office of Professor Juan Manuel Albarenque and was called the "Maternity Institute". The first Director was Professor Doctor José Clemente Lascano. Prof. Lascano who, in 1934, created and began directing his long-awaited museum in the Institution, leaving the creation of the library for later.References
