No. 12 (2024): Audiovisualidades, naturaleza y afectos

Audiovisualities, nature and affections was the axis from which Toma Uno summoned theorists, critics and filmmakers to think, write and debate in this issue. Currently, there is an emergence, as a concern, of voices, discussions and dialogues that account for the debate about the human, our own status in this planetary habitat, the link with nature, as well as the recovery of the affections as a place from which to conceive, share and understand these processes. The contemporary agendas of disciplines from the arts, humanities, social sciences, earth sciences and basic sciences, among others, intertwine in a profoundly destabilizing movement in pursuit of instituting other places, from which to conceive and imagine questions about the human and the non-human, crossing the idea of the Anthropocene with powerful and indispensable questions in our present time.
